MONDAY, 1ST OF JUNE 2020
Good morning!
Today you are
going to practice the past simple again. Use the worksheet and your notebook
to work.
First remember the use of the past simple and how do
we form it.
We can use the past simple to
talk about things we did in the past.
The past simple ending is -ed for regular verbs:
play – played, watch – watched, want – wanted.
Irregular verbs have a special form:
eat – ate, write – wrote, go – went
For the negative,
don’t change the main verb. Use didn’t instead:
play – didn’t play, eat – didn’t eat
|
Now let’s practice. Download the worksheet before start.
1. Find the verbs in the text and write them in the
table. Read the text and find the verbs
in the past. Then write them in the table.
2. Match the present form and the past form of the
verbs using different colours.
3. Complete the sentences using the correct form of
the verb.
4. Draw a picture in your notebook and write about the
last time you went to a park or somewhere fun. Write at least 4 lines!!
TUESDAY 2ND OF JUNE 2020
Good morning.
Watch this video about the SECOND CONDITIONAL. Then you will work in your notebook.
Activity 1: After watching the video, read and choose the correct option:
Copy the sentences in your notebook.
- We use the SECOND CONDITIONAL to talk about real situations/ hypothetical -not real situations.
- To form the SECOND CONDITIONAL we use IF+ PRESENT/PAST, for the condition and WOUL/WILL + VERB for the result or consequence.
- We can/can’t use COULD or MIGHT instead of WOULD.
- We use was/were in the IF clause, even if the subject is I, He, She or It.
Activity 2: Read the story “A voyage around the solar system” on page 66 again, and write all the second conditional sentences
you can find in your notebook. Write who
says the sentences in each case.
Activity 3: Read the grammar box on the top of
page 67. Then copy the TIP about
second conditional in your notebook.
WEDNESDAY, 3RD OF JUNE 2020
Today we are going to practise the new structure SECOND CONDITIONAL. We use it in hypothetical, not real situations.
Condition
|
Consequence or result
|
IF + Past Simple
|
WOULD + base verb
|
If I won the lottery,
|
I would buy a car.
|
As you can see there are 2 different conditions and 4 different consequences.
After guessing which girl, you are going to invent a new dialogue in your notebook. Remember you can use the vocabulary tiles on activity 5 to help yourself to write the new dialogue.
Read it out loud and record your voice. I will try to guess your person.
