Activity 1. Listen to AUDIO 19 and say what training astronauts need. Write the letters that you listen.

Activity 2. Listen again and choose the correct word in each sentence. Copy the correct sentences in your notebook.

All astronauts have to speak Russian / English.

Astronauts learn to fly a spacecraft to the International Space Station/ to the moon.

Astronauts practise floating in zero gravity in aircraft / spacecraft.

In this lesson we’re going to practise expressing opinions, agreeing and disagreeing, and giving reasons. Read the expressions bellow:

What is the odd one out?

It could be the elephant.

I think the answer is the car.

I agree with Tom.

I don’t agree.

Why?

...Because the elephant can’t fly.

...Because a car has got four wheels.

Now think what type of expression is each one of them: expressing opinions, agreeing and disagreeing, and giving reasons.

Activity 1: Listen people playing the game and write a, b, or c. Use AUDIO 20.

Activity 2: Order the dialogue you have listened on activity 1. Use AUDIO 20.
