REVISION UNIT 7 WORSHEET.

lunes, 27 de abril de 2020

STAY AT HOME ENGLISH HOMEWORK. From the 27th to the 30th of April 2020.

MONDAY, 27TH OF APRIL 2020

Today we are dealing with the new structure of the unit.
Read this mail carefully to understand the new structure and the activities you are going to do.

FIRST CONDITIONAL

We use the first conditional to talk a about real possibility in the future.
Imagine you have planned to ride your bike this afternoon but there are clouds in the sky. What can you say?
If it rains, I will stay at home.(Si llueve, me quedaré en casa. Es muy probable que si llueve me quede en casa)
If it doesn’t rain, I will ride my bike.( Si no llueve me iré con mi bici. Es muy probable que si no llueve vaya con mi bici)

As you can see, we are thinking of a particular condition in the future, and its consequence or result.
CONDITION:  If it rains, …   (IF + PRESENT SIMPLE)
CONSEQUENCE:…, I will stay at home. (WILL+ INFINITIVE)
  • Activity 2: Look at this sentences and think about if they are conditions or consequences. Write them in your notebook:
    • If I study,....:
    • ...,I will pass the exam:
    • I will buy a car,...:
    • ....., If I win the lottery:
  • Activity 3: Read the story “The dessert Island” on page 58 again, and write all the first conditional sentences you can find in your notebook. Write who says the sentences in each case.
  • Activity 4: Read the grammar box on page 59. Then copy the TIP about first conditional in your notebook.

TUESDAY, 28TH OF APRIL 2020

Today we are going to practise the new structure FIRST CONDITIONAL.
First, we are going to read the grammar game on page 59, and we are going to guess which boy.
As you can see there are 2 different conditions and 4 different consequences.

After guessing which boy, you are going to invent a new dialogue in your notebook. Remember you can use the vocabulary tiles on activity 5 to help yourself to write the new dialogue.

Read it out loud and record your voice. I will try to guess your person.

After that we are going to work on your activity book, page 66. Help yourself with the grammar box on the top of the page.

Activity 1: Listen and number. Use AUDIO 6.
Activity 2: Make sentences. You have to order the words to form correct sentences.

First Conditional

Learn and practise the use of the First Conditional.

First conditional:

HIGH POSSIBILITY OF SOMETHING HAPPENING. BIG CHANCE IT WILL HAPPEN.

  • I’ll visit my grandma on the way home if I have time.
  • If it’s sunny tomorrow, we’ll go to the park..
  • If Real Madrid win, they’ll be top of the league.

We use the first conditional when we talk about real and possible situations.
In first conditional sentences, the structure is usually if + present simple and will + infinitive
Now you can practise the structure watching this video. Hercules.
